What is Systematic Kinesiology?

Simply put, Systematic Kinesiology is type of natural healthcare that uses muscle testing to access the body's biochemistry.

Kinesiology helps us find out what is going on within and to ascertain what is in balance and what is not. When imbalance is found, there is a wonderful variety of therapeutic tools to rebalance the body, physically, chemically, emotionally and energetically.

Kinesiology is truly holistic and takes the guesswork out of healthcare.

The History of Kinesiology

In the 1920's, orthopaedic surgeon R.W. Lovett first developed muscle testing and his initial work was adopted and enhanced by Henry and Florence Kendall at the end of the 1940's.

Kinesiology as we use it today was developed by American chiropractor George Goodheart the founder of Applied Kinesiology in 1964.

Brian Butler brought kinesiology to the UK in 1988 and developed The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology and we are now celebrating over 30 years of using these wonderful methodologies in the UK.

I am very proud to have studied these amazing kinesiology tools under the tutelage of Claire Muller, Brian's inspirational daughter.

for naturally balanced health

Thank you for visiting the balance project and your interest in Systematic Kinesiology.

My name is Kerry Cook and my route into Kinesiology started when I first received a treatment in 2014.  I was initially recommended to Kinesiology by a friend to combat my fear of flying. The treatment revealed that I was not in fact scared of flying, but that it was actually the feeling of not being "in control".  My Kinesiologist was able to pinpoint where and when this lack of control in my life had begun and that became her starting point.  By following the recommended advice and techniques, I was able to fly without the help of prescribed drugs!

The difference it made to me was remarkable and led to my son receiving treatment for what had previously been diagnosed as IBS but turned out to be an emotional response to childhood events which led to poor gut health. By addressing these events, removing certain foods from his diet and taking nutritional supplements to support his stomach he was able to move forward in his life pain free. I was so moved by our improvement in wellbeing that I started to study Kinesiology and it has now become my full time job.

It's ironic that I became fully qualified in 2020. Probably now, more than ever, we all need a little wellbeing and balance in our lives!

At the balance project, we pride ourselves on the ability to change and impact lives in a healthy way. We do so by offering a variety of services to help all of our clients achieve healthier bodies and minds. Curious to find out more? Get in touch with a member of our team today.
